Selection to Scientific, Associate, and Expert Positions (available on the Institute's website http://www.iptpo.hr/images/pdf/Pravilnik_o_dodatnim_uvjetima_-engleski.pdf). 

Additional conditions for candidates: Preference will be given to candidates whose scientific work focuses on growing Mediterranean fruits, with an emphasis on plant nutrition and plant protection in olive cultivation; who have experience in designing and implementing field experiments on Mediterranean fruit species; who have a higher number of publications related to the aforementioned scientific focus, published in scientific journals indexed in the WoSCC (Web of Science Core Collection) databases; who have several years of experience working on scientific research projects; who have experience working in an analytical laboratory for plant material analysis; who have active English language proficiency, good knowledge of multivariate statistical methods, and hold a category B driving licence.

Along with a letter of application to the tender signed by hand, under ordinal number 1., 2., and 3., the following should be attached:

1)    Curriculum vitae,

2)    Proof of the academic degree of Doctor of Science (PhD) in a particular scientific field and area,

3)    Summary of scientific activities,

4)    Evidence of compliance with the National University, scientific, and artistic criteria prescribed by the Ordinance on the Conditions for Selection to Scientific Titles,

5)    Evidence of fulfilment of additional criteria from the Ordinance on Additional Criteria for Selection and Re-Selection to Scientific, Associate, and Expert Positions,

6)    Evidence of the fulfilment of additional conditions on the basis of which the advantage is achieved, if applicable,

7)    Certificate from the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute (HZMO) on the data recorded in the database of the HZMO.

A candidate who has obtained a higher education qualification abroad (outside Croatia) must, together with the application for a scientific position, attach an Opinion on the evaluation of a foreign higher education qualification issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education or a Certificate about the initiation of the evaluation procedure of a foreign higher education qualification issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education.

A person can be employed on a scientific position if registered in the Register of Scientists.

A complete application is considered to be the one that is signed by hand and contains all the information and attachments listed in the public tender.

A person who has not submitted a timely or complete application or does not meet the formal requirements of the public tender is not considered a candidate in the public tender procedure.

By submitting the application to the tender, tender candidates expressly agree that the Institute of Agriculture and Tourism, as the manager of the collection of personal data, can collect, use and further process data for the purpose of implementing the tender procedure in accordance with the regulations governing the protection of personal data.

Candidates who, on the basis of special regulations, have advantage in employment, are obliged to refer to that right in their application and to attach all the evidence that special regulations prescribe for exercising that right. Preference in employment according to the tender in question will be achieved in relation to other candidates only under equal conditions, established by this tender.

Candidates who, on the basis of Article 102 of the Act on Croatian Veterans of the Homeland War and their Family Members (Official Gazette 121/17, 98/19, 84/21, 156/23), have the right to priority in employment, must refer to this right and submit all the evidence for exercising this right, and have priority over other candidates only under equal conditions.

Candidates who refer to priority rights in employment in accordance with Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Official Gazette 157/13, 152/14, 39/18, 32/20), together with the evidence of meeting the required conditions, must also provide evidence of the established status of a disabled person.

The selected candidate will be invited to submit the originals of other evidence for fulfilling the formal conditions from the public tender within a reasonable period of time, with a warning that failure to submit the required documents is considered a withdrawal from the employment relationship.

The Expert committee for the implementation of the public job tender is appointed by the Scientific Council of the Institute of Agriculture and Tourism. 

If necessary, knowledge and skills will be checked by written and/or oral testing, interview and/or conversation, and the content and method of testing, interview and/or conversation and resources for candidate preparation, place and time will be announced on the Institute’s website: www.iptpo.hr. Candidates who do not attend the knowledge and skills test, interview and/or conversation will be considered to have withdrawn their application from this job tender and will not be considered candidates for the tender. The time and place of the test will be announced at least five (5) days before the day set for the test on the website of the Institute of Agriculture and Tourism: www.iptpo.hr.

If no persons who meet the basic prescribed conditions apply for the public tender, or if the registered candidates do not pass the test, the head of the Institute will suspend the procedure for this tender.

The Institute reserves the right, in part or in full, to cancel the tender and reserves the right not to decide on the selection of candidates without a special explanation.

Delivery of the decision to all candidates is considered to be completed at the end of the eighth day from the publication on the website of the Institute of Agriculture and Tourism: www.iptpo.hr.

Persons of both genders have the right to apply for the tender under equal conditions.

Incomplete and untimely applications will not be considered.

Non-selected candidates can appeal the decision on the selection of another candidate to the head of the Institute.

The deadline for submitting tender applications is 30 days from the date of the publication in the Official Gazette.

Candidates will be notified about the results of the tender via the Institute's website www.iptpo.hr.
