Brief description of the institution:

The University of Granada (UGR), founded in 1531, is one of the largest and most important universities in Spain. Brief description of the Centre/Research Group

The Adsorption and Catalysis Lab of the Faculty of Science is the main place where The Carbon Materials Research Group develops its projects, which are focused on the design of advanced materials based on carbon, and the study of their industrial and environmental applications, through adsorption and catalysis processes, being the electro-reduction of CO2 and O2, energy storage and photo-degradation of pollutants together with the development of new carbon-oxide metal composite materials currently the main (but not unique or limited) research lines. Actually the main co-workers are Prof. Francisco Carrasco-Marín (head of the Group) and Dr. Esther Bailón-García.

Project description

Development of high performance catalysts for the elimination of water pollutants by photo-catalysis or electro-Fenton processes, as well as for O2 and/or CO2 electro-reduction. The project is open to receive input from the candidates.
